After being at his childhood club for over a decade, the English midfielder, Trent Alexander-Arnold, has decided to leave Liverpool and continue his career by making a move to Real Madrid, marking the end of an era at Anfield and the beginning of a new chapter at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The 26-year-old right-back, highly regarded as one of the best attacking full-backs in world football, joins Los Blancos on a long-term deal reportedly worth around €50 million. He becomes the most recent high-profile addition to an already star-stacked Madrid squad as the club continues to collect their superstars of the new generation of football.
Alexander-Arnold, a product of Liverpool’s academy, made over 300 appearances for the club, including winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Club World Cup.
In a farewell message to Liverpool fans on social media, the Englishman said, “This club gave me everything. It’s been an honor to wear the shirt. I’ll never forget the nights at Anfield—this is home. But I feel it’s the right time for a new challenge.”
His debut in La Liga is being awaited by fans after summer break, eager to see how the Scouser adapts to his new life in Spain and whether he can help Real Madrid continue their historical Spanish legacy.
